Case Study - protecting your cloud infrastructure from attack

Securing your cloud infrastructure

Case study: how we protected a client's cloud computing infrastructure from attack.

Abstract

A denial-of-service (DoS) attack floods a server with traffic, making a website or resource unavailable. A distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attack is a DoS attack that uses multiple computers or machines to flood a targeted resource with malicious traffic. DDoS attacks pose an increased threat to online services when compared to DoS, due to the increased scale of the attack.

This white paper explores how the adoption of serverless architecture in conjunction with Amazon CloudFront can effectively mitigate DDoS attacks. Through a case study, we demonstrate the scalability, reliability, and cost-effectiveness of this approach in defending against DDoS attacks.
